My v70 2000mod Will just open the hood on the driver side then i pull the wire, the wire is slack, cus after i popped up the driver side, it wont close again..
So now my hood is open on the driver side, But not on the passenger side..

Man, these things are a pain. You can pull the park lights out, but I am not sure you can get to it effectively from there. One mine, they just don't have enough spring force to push the hood up, and for that reason it's a two man operation to get one open, with one guy lifting the hood while you the other pulls the lever. I am not sure if that'll work for you.
