Default I found this in my engine

I was changing oil today and looking in through my oil filler cap into the engine, I see this. It wasn't attached to anything. Just sitting there kinda next to the camshaft against the wall. I carefully fished it out. It's a seal of some type. Green in color. Feels like dried rubber, kinda brittle. What is it?

Not sure how it would have gotten in there.
Nothing in there uses a seal like that.

Could it be a spark plug seal or part of the crank or camshaft seal?
