Default I/M monitors not resetting!

Will a bad ABS module stop my I/M monitors from running? I've been trying to pass smog for the past 3 months and everytime I go in they say my rediness monitors aren't...well, ready! I have no codes and I've drove it over 500 mi initally, then reset it, then 800 mi...reset it again...and so on. I noticed that my ABS light will come on once in awhile and then my ABS will kick in sometimes...could this be getting in the way? Btw, I have a 1998 V70 GLT with about 180000mi on it. Hope someone can help me.

Thanks
Sean McLaughlin

With our 850, they never reset, at least in the time we owned it (3 years, 30k). There is a specific drive trace (a sequence of how to drive) that is supposed to reset them, I did it 4 or 5 times and it did not work. If you are resetting anything with an OBD type scanner it will reset them all at that time and you must drive it for who knows how long to have them test properly. Volvo is aware of this and there have been several TSBs. I was lucky my odo did not work, so my car was exempt by mileage (less than 5k a year in PA is exempt)

Just an update...so far I've reset it myself and had a mechanic reset it, I'm going on about 2000mi since the last reset, and it's still not ready! I have noticed that when I check it from a cold start...that the monitors are ready...but once I drive a couple of miles...they go back to "Not ready". Do you guys think I should change out my computer? Any help at this point will be appreciated.
