I've been poking around here and you seem like a good group of folks so, because I like you, I'm bringing you my problems. Nice huh? I bought an 04 v70 2.5t w/ the auto/sport shift thingyesterday and it's doing two strange things.

[ol][*]There is a slight wobble and vibration that seems to be coming from the front. Going 70ish on the freeway I can feel it the mostand it seems to be coming through the brake pedal as well. Just tires? They're new but . . .[*]I got up this morning, started the car, put it in reverse and then when I tried to put it in drive it resisted. It felt like the shifter would not pass into D but ifI pulled fairly hard I could feel the tranny engage until I let off and it slipped back out again. Upon replication of the reverse to drive move the same thing happened. I put the car back into park and then quickly moved it to drive and had no problem. It did the r to d thing two more times later in the day. Is this something common? I already spent too much on the car so I'm not looking forward to major repairs soon.[/ol]

1.Maybe the tires are out of balance.

2.Not to sure maybe shifter cable messing up.

 

Cool. Thanks for the quick response. Is this cable adjustable or a replacement issue? Accessible from inside the car?

 

I would have the cable inspected.
