We have a '99 V70. Last night the key decided NOT to come out of the ignition. Has this happened to anyone. I made sure the car was completely in park. I moved the steering wheel back and forth. Turned the car on and off again. What am I missing? We have had the car for three years and this is the first time this has happened. Please help!

Maybe the shift **** is going bad and the button isn't released all the way.
Also did someone use the shift lock override?

 

Not sure if you've had more trouble, but I am seeing the same thing and usually have to jiggle the shift handle and the key will release.

 

I actually had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to make SURE that the shift override button was ALL the way up... mine was just barely stuck down but far enough to keep my key from getting out

 

This happens to me all the time. There is a button on the shift **** facing the radio and it will sometimes stick in the pulled back position. I jiggel it and when the button pops out the key can be removed.
