Hi Guys, recently i have noticed that when accelerating from a stop position
i hear a knocking sound its a quick knocking like some one knocking on your front
door really fast? it is also very noticable when taking a left hand bend under acceleration. any ideas would be good???

Could be something stuck on the axle?
My dad just noticed something caught on his.

I had the same thing. It's the driveshaft near the front of the driveline, the part is like 700 new. There is like a universal joint there wears out and the thing needs to be rebuilt or replaced. That was the case with my 2.4 awd anyway.

 

I think i have pinned it, right hand engine mount is gone the one under the timming gear., i can hear it knock, when
i push on the block, i got underneath the car and had someone push the block,
The mount is in terrible condition like metal on metal...

V70Pinner i think that your problem may be isolated to AWD v70's only.

Maybe Tech has a different angle?

The mount must the culprit then...well...that is what it sounds like from your description. unless the motion is causing something else to make contact. Good luck.

 

I would say either the R/S engine mount or the transmission torque mount.
