My check engine light was blinking and I received the "Slow Down or Shift Up" message. Car was driving erratically in the lower gears. Brought it to the dealer and they pulled the code that indicated the ignition coil was bad in the 2nd cylinder. They replaced it at a ridiculous cost and cleared the code/check engine light. Next day it started happening again. I put in Autolite Double Platinum plugs and replaced the other 4 ignition coils (Bosch). Still getting message and check engine light.

Any ideas what else to check for and what that message is telling me (in a cryptic kind of way)

If you have replaced all plugs and coils and it still misfires I would check compression.
