Default need help with this today, asap cause im confused....

Took my car to the local mechanic to do a wheel alignment on my Volvo V70 T5 and when I picked the car up he told me that I needed new "steering links", I really don't get what he meant by that.

Did he mean a sway bar link, or the tie rod ends, and is it outer tie rod ends, or inner tie rod ends?

The reason I'm asking this is cause I want to take advantage of the sale at FcpGroton.com and I'm about to make an order for some parts, but I need to do it now....

I did hear some clunking noise coming from the right wheel, and I thought I just needed some new bushings, but it turns out I need "steering links" as well, that's all he told me and he couldn't explain it otherwise on the phone to me

I replaced my sway bar links with parts from FCP. They parts were very reasonable and the job was very simple to do. Old links will make a clunking noise, at least mine did. The old parts came right off and the new links bolted right in. This is a cheap and easy place for you to start before you go into tie rods, it is very common to replace these.
