Please help ... my husband broke the gas tank cover to my 2002 V70. It looks like the plastic that holds the metal pin hindge broke. Does anyone know if this isa part that I can get replaced or do I need to go to a volvo dealer or autobody place? Thanks!

 

We just had thesame thing happenon our '05 XC90 about a month ago. I'llbe curious to learn if there is a simple fix for this too.

This is super easy fix. All you have to do is order the plastic door hinge from the dealer which is about $8. Next all you do is take a pair of pliers and pull off the broken plastic. The new plastic has pins that get pushed in into the car where the old plastic hinge was mounted. Once you do that all you have to do is install the gas cover and your set.
