I have an '02 S60T5 with a broken gas tank door cover. The plastic hinge on the inside next to the gas cap had broken and would not hold the door cover on anymore. I ordered another plastic hinge and am wondering how to install it. It looks like it takes four screws to install. Do I access it through the trunk to remove, and if so, does that mean I have to pull the paneling off on the inside of the trunk to access? Thanks for your responses.

 

The new hinge should come with 4 tabs sticking off of it.
You will need to snap them off and install them in the holes. Open the holes slightly after snapping the pins off.

To get the old one off the car find the pins and tap them inside then the hinge will fall off.
