New england or other snow climate with v70R Step inside (anyone really)
I am considering purchasing a 04-07 v70r 6spd.
I love the power, the handling is superior, and the space is for my drum kit.
I have a 5spd 2000 Maxima now and it is neither big enough nor is it that great in bad snow. But I love the way it drives.
My question to anyone is:
How does the v70r drive in the snow?
I guess clearance would be my main concern. traction yes, but that is also subjective based on tires so, compared to other vehicles stock tires

I'm in Michigan, so I am not unfamiliar with snow. V70 fwd turbo does fine in snow. Not like four or all wheel drive, of course, but good enough. The "R" model, if it has "summer" tires, won't go in snow. No car will with summer/performance type of tires. You'll need snows or at a minimum good all season tires. And don't plan on being the trailbreaker in any event unless you have awd.
yea the only concern i had about tires was that some bad tires can easily get you into trouble in the snow.... awd or not.
Yea, the ride height of the v70r is what i was worried about, when snow piles up, i might not be able to get out.
I love the car it drives better than my maxima... just concernabout about the clearance, not just in the snow either
