Default New owner of a 2005 V70 2.4L ... need some tips, quirks I've noticed

I purchased this car knowing there was water damage ... the price was so that even if I had to replace almost everything, I am covered. Everything works perfect ... the interior is now fully dried. Has 57,000 miles on it. Engine was drained immediatley after the event, and trans as well. It drives perfectly except I notice a little noise only when I first drive the car after it has rested at least 30 minutes. It almost sounds like a low-tone sharp grinding sound. Like when you take a circular saw blade and hit metal. Like I said, only when I first drive off. Other than that, no issue related to drivetrain. Does it have something to do with the STC .. can someone explain what that is all about? I have another minor electrical issue but will ask about that later. Would really be in someone's debt if there was an explanation for the above. thanks. Al
