Default New Shape V70 Headlight Replacement

Hi

I need to replace a headlight unit on my V70. I have the replacement unit but need some advice on the procedure for swapping them over. I have looked at it today and it appears that you need to remove the bumper in order to do this.

I normally rely on Haynes manuals for instructions but they haven't produced one for this model yet! Any advice or info out of a workshop manual would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Stuart

The new body style is 2001 and newer.
On the 2000 model they should just unscrew from the bad. I think it is 4 screws.

In America I presume the new body style was launched in 2001 but here in the UK it was first launched in 2000. It is definitely a series 2 car!!

Any advice on this later model?

thanks

You will have to loosen/remove the bumper cover. Remove all the rivets in the wheel well. Then there is a screw that you will have to loosen and push in the release it from the bumper.

Then under the hood remove all the black clips across the top of the bumper. Then pop out the black srtips in the middle of the bumper to access the screws for the bumper. Remove the screws and it should slide out.
