Unhappy Noise from the front of the car

Dear god, its as if the problems never end with this car. Its driving me nuts, while I really do love it. Thank goodness its not my only car so I don't get too worked up about it. Its 2001 V70 T5 - 5 speed, and this morning on my way to work I turned it on and it idled fine, took off and all wasa good, stopped at Dunkin' Donuts for a cup of coffee and once I turned it on fine as I put it in first gear and started driving it started making noise.....higher revs higher noise, and it was LOUD, as if the calipers grabbed on the brakes and didn't wanna let go type of noise. But the car was moving freely so it wasn't the brakes. I changed the alternator and put in a new belt so I thought the noise could have come from that part of the engine (something could have conked and stopped turning)

I didn't see anything as that happened at 5:00 am and its too dark to investigate.

The rotors and pads are new from Brembo/Akebono combo at FCPGroton, the alternator and belt are from OEM parts bin at Partsgeek.com so I doubt its any of those being problematic.

I suspect another thing, I went to change the oil and the guy there put 7 quarts (manual says 6.1) and I thought maybe its too much oil and it could have messed with oil pump, but does oil pump make that noise?
Don't know what it is, idles fine, start moving and the noise is loud enough to scare me into leaving the car home.

The noise does stop once I'm at speed though, but not fully, its in the background somewhat and its slightly muted.

Anybody got any thoughts?

If you record noise and post it on youtube it would be easier to diagnose
