Oil filter location

Where is the oil filter located on an 2001 V70 XC AWD. I haven't taken off the protective cover underneath but by the looks of the filter is it on the top of the engine?

On the passenger side of the oil pan in the front you will see a plastic dome looking thing.That is the filter housing.You will have to remove it to get to the filter.It is a cartrige filter.
