Default Oil Trap FAIL 98 V70, Changed, Now Will Not Run Smooth...

So Today I replace the Oil Trap and all the hoses that go with it. Got everything back together and now the car keeps dieing and when its not dieing it is sputtering bad and backfiring. Its been a long stressful day and any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear about the problems. Did you pull your spark plug wires for some reason? Crack your distributor cap? Anything along those lines?

We did pull the spark plug wires from the plugs themselves. After starting the car up we opened the spark plugs back up and checked all the wires and everything seemed fine. I did not notice anything wrong with the distributor cap and we made sure none of the wires on the cap were lose as well.

Also, One of my spark plugs was spitting oil prior to us fixing the oil trap. Could fixing the Oil trap of made it worse? I know I need to get this fixed but I didn't think this would cause this much trouble since it didn't cause a huge amount of problems prior. Also I wanted to note my brakes don't really feel right, Which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Could fixing the Oil trap of made it worse? ....have made it worse?

Cluebat this. You have a vacuum hose off somewhere, causing your running problems and your hard brake pedal. Look for a dangling hose or a hose barb with no hose on it.
