Default Oxygen Sensors

So

I bought a universal O2 sensor for the V70 and it's no good.

So I have a limited time to send it back for a refund before the new Denso gets here-

No harm is driving with with old ones put back in with their wires cut in the mean time?

Just gas mileage will go down- I know.

Thanks

Default RE: Oxygen Sensors

I am also curious

What makes the front sensor a different part number from the rear?

Thanks

Default RE: Oxygen Sensors

It might run like dirt with the wires cut. The rear should have longer wiring.

Default just longer wiring

sorry to break into this thread, but I am trying to understand this oxygen sensor thing,
my v70 is 1997 2.5 na 10v and only has one sensor, after the cat with a short lead going to the connector near the bulkhead
with only the one sensor fitted, what does it actually do? does it alter fuel trim or simply report a problem to the ecu to turn on the check light and store a code
Thanks
