Hello - just joined the V70 world ('06 T5) and left a message on the newbie forum. I have a couple of questions for fellow V70 owners. The wagon came prewired for Sirius, but the according to the dealer it's $850 for the integrated controls. Any idea on where the best place is to mount a Sirius control unit on or near the dash, and pics as well? Would like to give the wife an idea of what it looks like, since its mainly her ride. What about window tint? Add on DVD player? Thanks in advance.

 

What about window tint? Look up your state laws about window tint.

I am in PA, and I have 35% front, and 15% rear on my car.

 

I'm in NC which I think allows 35% on sides and rear. Did not know if anyone had a pic of grey V70 with tinted windows.

 

I don't, but I could post a picture of my S70 with tinted windows. My car is white.

 

Why not buy a Sirius ready head unit? Are you trying to keep the stock look?

 

I would prefer the stock look, but the price tag is a little high. I can live with an external unit and keep $700+ in my wallet. Originally I was looking to see where some people have mounted their XM/Sirius units and what it looked like.
