Plug replacement and turbo air "tube"
Maybe a stupid question, but I have to ask before I replace the plugs in 06 V70 2.5t. The turbo's air feed tube goes right over the cap over the plugs. How is it removed (so I can remove the cover/cap) without screwing it up?
Are there any tricks to this? I don't want to break it, lose fasteners, etc.
Thanks.

Pretty simple. There is a hose clamp on each end, one in the front and one in the back. Then remove the bolt that holds it to the front of the engine.
You can get away with only removing the front clamp, and the mounting bolt, and just pushing it to the side a little, but it'll put some stress on the rubber hose that connects it to the turbo. If it's in rough shape it may develop cracks.

Thanks. Being a relative rookie in Volvo maintenance, I was afraid that there were hidden fasteners, a need for new o rings, etc., that would leave me at the mercy of a distant parts store or the friendly dealer half way through the job. I once owned a GM minivan where to r & r the rear plugs, the motor mounts had to be loosened and the motor tilted! I thought Volvo engineers might have been assigned to make the task even harder. Sort of like the absence of an easily-replaceable PCV or fuel filter.
