Basically, my car does not speed up as much when I'm holding down on the pedal. It's limited to going about 50-60 mph uphill and only 80 mph on the freeway. When driving downhill I have no problem going fast at all.

Anyway to fix this problem?

 

What year / model car?
How routinely do you perform general maintenance on the car?
Have you checked your oil?
Do you have any check engine light codes?
Have you done any modifications or maintenance very recently?
Have you changed your fuel / oil filters lately?

 

it is a 1998 just bought her last week i just had the oil changed, the check engine light is on but is yellow.
