Default Right turn light stays on

Hello,

In my Volvo V70 II 2.4l 163hp (2005) i recently switched my right front light. After i changed it over, the turn light do not blink and stays on when i have powered the car. I am guessing that this is a relay issue or a grounding/earthing problem. The light bulb for the turn light was working before i changed it and the bulb was broken after the replacement, even though the turn light is still the same.
All other blinking lights are working.
Do anyone know where to buy a new relay, where it is located or if there is some other things i should check beforehand?
I will attach a photo of the light.

Best regards

Benjamin

There is no relay, that function is handled by the CEM. You have circled the sidemarker bulb in your picture, the turn signal bulb is the larger 21 watt size bulb next to it - SO

From this diagram 10/16 is the flashing light in the rf fender, 10/14 is the flashing bulb in the right headlight assembly. If the light is flashing in the fender - note both are powered from terminal b32 on the CEM. Are both the fender light and the ts bulb in the headlamp assembly on all the time? If they are an internal CEM problem could be the cause of that. Common symptoms courtesy of xemodex.com

Common Failure Symptoms

Common Failures:
• Water damage
• Complete loss of communication where the CEM will not communication with the rest of the network and the diagnostic tool.
• No LIN communication with alternator (ACM)
• Starter motor not working even though start is approved by the immobilizer sequence.
• Turn signals not working are all or one side turned on continuously.
• Low beams, high beams or fog lights failures.
• Horn not working at all.
• Wipers not working at all or stuck in high speed.
• Fuel pump not engaging.

Isn't the circled bulb part of the DRL system? I am 90% sure they are both always on on my 2006 s60. I can confirm later

EDIT: Confirmed that it is apart of the DRL on my car.

Hey hoonk,

Thank you for a good explanation.
Now i see that i have misunderstood which bulb belongs to the turn signal. I do also see that they are always on refering to Dingus comment.
I will investigate wheter the rf fender bulb is flashing within a couple of weeks (currently on a job trip). It might be a possibility that the new contact in the new headlamp has other connections for the turn ligh 10/14.

Edit: I looked at it and you were totally right - i have been looking at the wrong place. No light bulb at the turn light.. Thank you a lot, very good that i didn't turn out to buy any relays
