I just bought a 2000 V70 andwas interested in buying a rack system for it. It already has the factory side rails, so all I need to figure out is whattowers and cross bars to go with. I've been backand forth between the Thule and Yakima websites checking out all thedifferent models and options, but I was wondering if anyone had any positive/negative feedback or opinions for both. I was personally leaningtowards the Yakima Low Rider towers. I'll be using the racks to move some mountain bikes, surfboards, snowboards, possibly kayaks and occasional fishing poles (I like the outdoors). Thanks in advance for the feedback.

 

I have Thule to carry my two kayaks and they work fine. I would buy whichever one you can get the best price on. See if you can find some used ones.

You can't go wrong with Yakima or Thule.

Agree with the other posts. I have the Thules, and with the V70 there is space for a windsurfer and a couple of bike racks.You may want to considera fairing, as they are noisy, especially with the sunroof open.
