So I guess my st. Patty's day purchase wasn't so lucky. Car was advertised with a bad turbo said it smoked alot when hot. Well the guy who sold me the car never let me cold start the car. After 4 hrs of diag turbo is building boost and working as using and the headgasket is the problem. Is this common and did I just totally take for my purchase of this car? 2002 v70 fwd 2.4t 130k miles leather loaded.

Also need a 3in down pipe where is the absolute cheapest place to get one or does somone have a used one forsale ? Thanks.

 

head gaskets can go on any model of car. curious what was your differential diagnosis for determining its the head gasket? For a budget 3 inch downpipe, check eBay. Once in a while somebody will post some performance parts in the Volvo Classifieds forum, but Volvo Forums are not like a VW/Audi forum where 90% of the threads are on tuning topics - mostly diagnostics and maintenance.
