Should I change water pump with time belt
I have a 2003 V-70 with a I-5 non turbo (96,000 miles). I am about to change the timing belt. Should I change the water pump? I have called 2 dealers, one says yes, the other says no. One dealer says water pumps live to 200,000 miles. What is your 2 cents?
Thanks Don

Several very experienced people on this forum will say you're fine to 200k, too. I've taken their advice - look at it & spin it when you're doing the timing belt. If it looks & feels okay, leave it until the next cycle.
It's a gamble..
Have you owned the car since new and you've done the coolant system flushes every few years? If so, then might be safe to bet on a 9 yr old H2O pump..
I'm reminded of that famous Clint Eastwood line, "do you feel lucky?"
