Hi Folks

Maybe someone can help me here as I'm a bit confused. I want to fit a towbar/tow hitch to my V70, but quite frankly find the price of a Volvo installation quite frightening at over £500, especially when I can get the same thing done for just over half that price. The only thing that is mentioned when I speak to Volvo is that they need to do some software download at the same time. Does anyone know what this is for exactly and is it critical?

YOu can try it without it.
I believe what the download is for is to activate the system in the computer so that the lights work properly.
If you don't do it you might get an error message with the trailer hooked up about lights being out.
