Default steering problems on full lock

In the process of buying v70 on 2004. It is an automatic & FSH but when going round on full lock the steering wheel starts to pulse back in opposite direction. Mechanic can't find any fault but recognises that the car does it - any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

I'm probably wrong, but given the tire rub I get with 17" wheels on my '06 with "stock" sized 235/45 R17 tires, is this kickback from tire rub? The problem got worse when I replaced the stock Pirellis which had worn down with a fresh set of Conti ExtremeContacts. All's well just before full lock, and left turn seems worse than right turn on full lock. I don't get a kickback where the car seems to want to straighten itself out, but I can feel and hear the tire rub.

Check your suspension and pay close attention to control arm bushings, inner outer tie rods as well. I may be wrong too.
