My sunroof does not open but it goes up and down. Can i fix this myself

 

What do you mean can you fix this yourself? Do you know how to read a schematic? Do you even have a schematic?

Pull the panel down that the switch is mounted to and see if you have any obvious pulled wires. Also could be a belt? Not sure if those are belt or gear driven.

Asking if you can fix it is like asking if you can skydive. I know not of your training with a parachute, therefore I cannot answer that question.

It is cable driven. Does it make any noise when you try to move it foward or back?
