Default t5 instable at hight speed

I have a question. A few months ago I bought a 2004 Volvo V70 T5. When I drive faster than 160 km/hour the steering feels instable driving straight forward. The car has new quality tires, and is alined twice (to make sure is was right). Is this steering behaviour normal? If not can it be inproved?

Slow down? Sounds like a good idea to me.

All I can think of is worn tie rods/CAB's, but any good alignment shop would check them and let you know when they do an alignment.

I've run my V70 T5 to around 130mph (on an open road in Mexico), which would be around 210km/hr or so and it was stable.

Are you running stock tire sizes?

I'd be looking for worn suspension parts. I've had mine to 100MPH and was rock stable. I'm perplexed the alignment shops didn't find the problem, as that's how they make the big bucks doing the "fix". Any unusual noises when cornering or going over bumps?

tie rod bushes have been changed. That is what I tought of first too.
The car was in the garage to change the Tie rod bushes and I asked them to look for other (suspension) problems. The could not find any. I am thinking on asking them to look again.

about the tires... normally I have summertires 225/45 R17 at the moment it is on wintertires 205 x 55 x R16. I know on wintertires its unstable. I only have the car shortly so I do not know on summertires....
