Hi - two issues I have to figure out (I searched the forum also)

2005 V70

1. Tailgate lock will not open using the key fob or the unlock mechanism. this is the first time it has happened. Car was wet last night from significant rainfall. Is the only way to open it taking off the cover of the interior and manually opening it? then what?

2. Annoying fault code constantly flashing "check stop lamp" - I did check and all stop lamps are working correctly - how do I reset the code?

Just realized the issue with the lock for the hatch also affects the gas cap release - any ideas before I have to take it to the dealer for service?

 

Sounds like an issue with the rear electronic module.
