Has anyone tried replacing the tilt/telescoping lever. Mine is broken and it looks like you have to remove the dash to get it on. Its little details like that that agrevate me. Even though I would probably never change the position of the wheel, its the principal. Thanks.

 

Some you can get it to slide off once you get the covers off.
What I have done in the past is loosen the steering column and pull it up some and replace the handle.

I don't think I even disconnected the wiring or the steering shaft.
