I had by timing belt replaced at 112,000 km (70,000 mi)as recommended. My mechanic made a point of saving the old belt and showing it to me. The teeth were in great shape, but the belt itself was all cracked from the heat off the block. DO NOT let this go longer than recommended or you will sorely regret it when the belt breaks and takes the valves with it.<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley3.gif>
