Hi, I recently aquired a 2001 V70XC that in beautiful condition in spite of having 130,000 miles. The person I bought it from says the timing belt was changed at 100,00 miles ,but I want to verify that. i removed the top belt cover and looked at the belt which looks good. I have the numbers from the belt and was wondering if someone can identify its age by these numbers. 16211 142-23 Volvo 9-440-383

If the belt looks good then yes it was changed. Also if it wasn't then you would not be able to read the numbers.
