Default trip computer flashing disc?

Granted I have just have my 1998 V70 for a couple of days, but while driving the center display sometimes flashes between the current reading and "disc" I could find nothing about this in the owners guide

The trip computer switch. The one you use to go through the settings.
The switch just pulls out and unplugs.

i don't suppose there is a pic of the switch you speak of? i tried looking one up on ipd and fcp groton and found nothing. found one on some volvo parts website and they had a pic of the fog light switch as the replacement part.

also if you know where i can get a new one and for how much? tia!

It's part# 9162959

Found here for $41.34

http://www.swedishautoparts.com/V70/...-switches.html

May be available elsewhere, they were just the first ones to come up when I googled the part number.

EDIT: Used one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GOOD-...224211009r6080

It's right, they just have the wrong picture. Both part #'s are correct.
