unsetteling noise when driving
So recently my car has been making this terrbily annoying noise it sounds like piece of aluminum dragging on the pavement underneath the car. I already made a post about this on sweedspeed and a member there thought it could be the SAS valve I'm not so sure the noise doesnt go away after the car warms up it actually seems to get softer when I driver faster and after a while of driving it seems quieter compared to when it was cold but it hasnt gone away. Actually today in a parking lot after the car was warm and had been driven a few miles I reversed in a parkinglot and the noise got very loud as I backed up and continued to be very loud for a few mins when I drove forward. I thought the sound was comming form one of the wheels but I could be mistaken I havent been able to get an pinpoint what I believe to be an accurate location for the noise.

RE: unsetteling noise when driving
I have the same thing happening to my 2000 v70 XC AWD. I've never had that happen in warmer weather, but now that it is about 12 degrees F. out, it makes a hollow metallic clicking or banging sound that seems to go away when i step on the gas. it also seemed to moderate after i've been driving a while and the car has warmed up a bunch.
do you have any advice as to what would cause this, is it something i should be worried about?
thank you.

RE: unsetteling noise when driving
That sounds very plausible since this noise only happens when the car is moving there aren’t any online PDF manuals for the v70 are there? that might prove useful to me in the near future when I'm able to work on the car. I wonder what it could be though the car drives fine... hmmm
