Is there any way to get a 2001 Volvo V70 to flash the check engine light codes out? On various Fords and VWs I've had you could get the car to flash the check engine light, count the flashes, then look up the trouble code to find out what it means. Sometimes it'd be a combination of holding down buttons on the climate control,on older Fords it wsa jumpering a wire on the EEC-IV connector.

Probably about time I bought a OBDII scanner, but I have not done that yet so thought I'd check for a quick and dirty way to do it.

I have never seen a way to get the codes out that way espically on the 2001 Networked cars.
