Default V70 D5 Lumpy Idle (tickover)

Car starts and runs great but when stationary and the diesel engine is ticking over after a minute or two it will start to idle erratic and lumpy.
Any ideas folks.
Thanks

Hi,
could this be engine temperature related? coolig temp sensor, air intake guide, vacum leak? had once intake manifold leak which got worse when engine was warming up.
Which year and engine version you have?

Hi, I have also D5 i.e. D5244Tx so it interests me to find out the reason.
- are you able to have any codes from obd II?
- have you tested the coolant temperature sensor operation/wiring
-also if you live in cold country the diesel filter draining (water out) is needed to secure supply or do you have propper power when driving?
