1081 Fuel delivery system high.
0452 Evap system Small Leak.
Could be a bad Evap Valve or a split rubber line somewhere.
Check in the back of the car By the fuel filter.

Tech,

Did I get screwed when I subscribed to ALLDATA for my car info?

Could the code info be different because I looked at a 98's info and the gentleman asked about a 99?

What source did you use for this info please?

Thanks as always.

1999 cars went to the newer codes. I used a Super chips book that gives almost every P code known to man.
Some just say Manifacture specific. But it gives most of them. We use AllData at work. It is pretty close. But on some it is a little bit off.

Thanks tech. I was under the assumption that P codes were a standard that everybody used by convention.

Yes the P codes are Generic codes.
But some company's give different discriptions and better wording for the codes.
But since I work at a Volvo specialist we have scanners that use Volvo codes. That is the way I like it.

The P codes are to generic for me. They are not really clear most of the time.

I had changed the canister purge valve ,but that resulted in no change. Is the valve you are referring to the Carbon Filter container shut off valve , which is under the car next to the fuel tank??

No that was not the one I was refering to. I was refering to the one under the hood.

Did you inspect all the lines good?

As i mentioned I changed the canister purge valve under the hood near the radiator. What lines should I be checking?? Another piece of the puzzle is that when I open the gas cap there is a sound like a presuure release and I can only add gas very slowly or it cuts off the nozzle.

The lines from the Evap Valve under the hood to the tank.
Also try to locate the Rollover valve. It should be back by the tank. That might be bad and acting like the car is rolled over sealing the tank system totally. Of the Other valve you mentioned earlier is stuck open and the tank is sucking in.

Default P1081 OBD-II Code Help

I realize this is a long dead Thread, but I was wondering if this data is correct? Is it just coincidence that P1181 is also Fuel System Delivery High?

I have a 1999 V70 non-turbo which had this Code and no other. No Check Engine Light nor Symptoms. I'd like a hint as to where to start looking. I just failed a Smog Inspection because of the Code.

Thanks in advance.
