v70 glt wagon hatch wont stay up non shock hatch

i have a 1999 v70 glt wagon that the hatch will not stay up and it does not have shocks. it has some system i have not seen before.. info parts name anything will help?

It does have struts they are just under the inside panels hidden.

Some just pop on the others have clips holding them steady.
