Default V70 Outdoor temperature sensor

Folks

I have a 2000 V70 and have noticed that it is starting to cough and splutter when driving. I have had new plugs, filters, oils and the throttle body cleaned out but this hasn't fixed it.

One thing I have recently noticed is that the temperature reading on my dashboard (beside the time) is showing as 1 or 2 degress when it is actually 19+ outside. Could this be causing my spluttering? i.e. is it giving the engine the wrong mixture and maybe flooding?

If this is the case where can I find the sensor? Can cleaning help or does it need replaced?

Thank you in advance.

I don't think that is causing your problem. My 850 is showing me that it's cold outside while it's near 100 F out. The outside temp sensor is in the lower part of the front bumper. Clips into the air scoop.

Do you have a CEL? Maybe your coil packs are going bad. Try reading your ecm even if you do not have cel.
