Can anyone tell me if my 2004 V70 2.4 is different to others. After just 4500 miles from new, I can now sense a slight resonance noise between 2000 and 2500 rpm after which it dissappears. I have a feeling I read somewhere that this is a V70 symptom which can be cured. Any advice welcome.

 

Does it only happen when driving or does it still do it while in park?

 

Strangely, in park the engine seems to be smooth to run up throughout the entire rpm range. I've only noticed the change in background noise when on the move. There are no other adverse symptoms.

 

Im thinking either a bad engine mount or a bad tire.

 

Thanks Tech - I'll try to narrow the noise down further . I recall someone had the dealer adjust the exhaust system heat shield but I may be confused with another fault. Regards,

 

That is also possible I have seen that before as well.
