My 2000 V70 XC Turbo has had on ongoing problem with surging and hesitating for several months now and my mechanic can't figure out the problem. It was not triggering the CEL and not giving any codes to help him.He cleaned the throttle box and checked other things, but still not fixed.
Recently the CEL revealed a new code involving the turbo. I have not heard back from my mechanic yet about it. He mentioned something about maybe an extended warranty on the turbo?? My car has 103K miles.
The surging occurs during acceleration only, not when idling. Hesitating occurs from a stop or during regular acceleration.

Any ideas? I'm getting desparate, help
