Default V70s audible warnings

Hi, I'm new to the group as I've just bought a V70 estate and all is pretty damned good. Except that is that there is an audible 'double beep' every 60 seconds. This happened after I managed to kill the battery by leaving the doors open whilst I cleaned up the car for an hour! Any ideas what I have done as I cannot find anything in the supplied handbook. Thanks Tony

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum.

What year is the car? How old is the battery?

Hi, thanks for the reply. The Volvo is a 2002 model with a fairly new battery. I think I have sorted the problem by a process of elimination. After jump starting the car it seems that I turned off the traction control when playing with the controls. As soon as I turned off the ignition (so I could pop in and put up the original post!) the traction control reset itself and the beeping stopped. Guess its a remainder that you're in 'nutter' mode! So, all is good with the car. Took it out for a 200mile test drive yesterday, beep free. Blimey what a car. Smooth, quiet and the display said I got 27.7mpg. Got a bit 'confused' trying to park it in a multi-story car park, way bigger than my normal car but well pleased. Wishing I had bought Volvo before.

So this is my toy - a V70s 2.4 Had it now for a week or so and still learning about it but finding it a very very nice car. Done a few long distance journies in it now and oh so comfy. Sods law though, now have volvo envy - a friend of mine just just collected a V70R - bloody typical.
