This is the exact issue I have with my 2001 V70! The dealer, and then an independent volvo shop, both said the CV's dont have much play, but after this I really want to get some CV's from IPD. Anyone know if IPD's are reman'd or china? EMPI I think is the brand, I hope those are not china-made.

Default Made in China CV axles

My 2001 V70 2wd has exactly the same vibration issue.
After balancing the wheels and replacing the motor anti-rotation mounts (which were both broken), I determined the cause to be worn out CV joints/axles.
New ones at Volvo are about $500 per side, so I found cheaper parts online.
I wondered why those parts were so cheap.....
I should have known, since it is unusual for this type of part to be available in the aftermarket at all.
Since I have already received the parts, I am going to install them and hope they last for a while. Anyone have any installation tips before I start this? Thanks
