Vibration on acceleration
New here, and first post. Not new to any forums though. I just bought a 99V70 XC with 133,000 miles on it. I didn't notice it when I bought it but when I accelerate hard or downshift to get some speed up a mountain pass, I get this vibration that seems to effect the whole car, and I can feel it in the steering wheel and gas pedel the most. It goes away as soon as I let up on the gas and return to drive. The car is smooth as silk on the highway and as long as your really not accelerating hard you don't feel the vibration. It's really noticible, I'd say around 40-55 MPH or so.
BTW: I come from owning Ford explorers and Chevy blazers, and I have to say that this is the best car I have ever owned. Really nicely put together compared to my "american" SUV's . Volvo did a nice job. [sm=massbounce.gif]

Again, only on hard acceleration. Although, If I think about it, it doesn't really need to be hard but just keeping the rpm up above 2500 or 3000 or so. If it was the wheel bearings, wouldn't I hear and feel it all the time?
Possibly you would hear the wheel bearing all the time.
The driveshafts do weird things. They are known to go bad alot.
Also check the upper torque mount on the engine. That might be bad as well.

Ok, I looked at the upper torque mount after searching on this site. It has a rubber "bushing" that looks like a cross and it's cracked and really rotted. I'll start with that. Hopefullly that will get it. Thanks!
