Default Volvo V70 Rear Window Stuck Down

2001 Volvo V70 2.4T - Passenger side rear window is stuck down.

When I try with the switch on the driver master panel I can hear a relay click under the steering wheel, when I use the switch on the rear door I don't hear the relay. I have removed the rear passenger door card and measured with a voltmeter on the contacts to the motor - 0 volts with the switch in either up or down position. so looks like electrical problem vs the regulator? Looks like the fuse is common to both back windows so not that.

Separately - the master switch has a cosmetic problem, the joy stick for the mirrors cracked, I pulled the plastic parts out and it still works as do all the other functions (except the one back window)

Would like advice on next steps, I am close to ordering a replacement master switch on ebay ($60) anyway - I have also read that it could be a sensor / computer problem, or maybe the back switch itself. Is there a way to reset all that or does it need the smoke and mirrors of volvo diagnostics? Bit worried about changing random parts out and then having to go to the dealer?

Thanks for any help.

Did you try swapping driver side rear window switch into passenger rear door?

From what you said i would guess it's the rear door window switch itself.
