Default What is proper operation of 98 V70 Cruise Control?

1. When you initially turn the cruise control on, is there supposed to be a light on the dash to let you know it’s on?

2. Then when you hit the “set” button, is another light supposed to come on?

Of course, mine doesn’t work, and I want to know if it’s an electronic thing or mechanical.

Thanks,

My 01 V70 T5a only turns on a dash light when you "arm" the system. Nothing changes when you engage. Cruise control is linked through the ABS module which is a common failure for these cars. Do you have other messages?
