My 01 V70 has what looks like a defogger on the left driver's side cargo area window. It's only on that side though. The other side doesn't have it.

Either it's a temperature sensor or the antenna for the radio.

Does anybody know?

 

Its the radio antenna.

 

Is there anyway to re-apply it by buying another one? I may have possibly spliced one of the leads at my first window-tinting attempt..... Maybe I should just scrape it off and install a better one in the plastic moldings.

I noticed the reception not being too hot, and realized I think I cut one of those leads when cutting the tint, something I told myself 100 times be careful not to do.

 

I forget who makes it but there is a repair kit avalible somewhere to repair the rear defrost elements.
You might want to try that.
