My wife ask what this symbol meant as she does not remember it being there. I do not remember it being there either, but after sending a pic to the Volvo dealer, I am told that it is on all '25 XC40's. But have not talked with anyone that can tell what it is for/indicates. In the photo the symbol is to the right of the gear indicator.

That's the "mild hybrid" battery icon. Note what happens in that icon when you are slowing down.

 

Thank you hoonk! I have noticed it changing colors from white to blue, the useless manual made no mention of it..
