Default Harman Kardon retrofit, Is it possible?

Hi,

I'm buying a second-hand XC40, T4 R Design soon and I wanted to retrofit the Harman Kardon sound system.
I can buy the entire set: Speakers+Amp, but is it easy/ possible to retrofit? does it need any coding? the new amp is just plug and play?

Thanks!

Sorry in advance to not be answering your question. But I'm curious, what's in the car now?

I have an 2024 XC40 with the Harman Kardon stereo system.

I have to say I was disappointed that there is no equalizer settings with sliding adjustments, just bass, treble, subwoofer and surround sound.

Heck, my 2011 Subaru Outback Limited had a Harman Kardon system with, like, 25 different slider equalizer settings to precisely adjust the sound. Subwoofer in the rear. That car had great sound. This one is ok, but for what I paid...

[I have owned Volvos since 1978 and currently own a 2023 XC40 Dark. Since Volvo has been coming out of China I have found that the quality of many of the fittings are certainly sub-standard to what was included prior to the China take over. The front seats are quite hard, the floor carpets very thin and flimsy plus the sound system not really to Harman Kardon standard for a Volvo.
