Remove headrests 2020 XC 40?
Got some seat covers that I want to put on and need to remove the front and back headrests. Pushed in the button on the left stem but can't get the headrest out. Have looked at older models and some had buttons in the back (not this one) and someone suggested sliding a scredriver down the stem without a button but worried about doing that. Can anyone give me an idea how to remove these headrests so I can get my covers on please? Thanks a lot!
I see nobody has responded because i don't think there is a way to remove the front seat head restraints. I've never seen a worse front seat design ever. One of the main points of buying an SUV is to be able to fold the seats down, put "long" stuff in and tote it around. The front seat passenger side head restraint sticks up like a monolith when you try to lay the seat all the way back, and since it won't come out, i have to push my surfboard(s) up to rest on the dash, thus blocking my side mirror... and before you tell me to get a roof rack, i have one, but since i live in an unnamed third-world sh°t hole, i'd rather keep the board on the inside so its still there when the light turns green.
